FAQ's

  • Is the Motorhome fully insured?

The Motorhomes are covered by comprehensive motor insurance. However, it does not cover your personal belongings, so we recommend that you ensure you are covered by a personal insurance policy for your peace of mind.

  • Why do you require a security deposit/bond of £1,000?

The security deposit/bond is refundable upon return of the Motorhome on time, undamaged, with a clean cooker/oven & interior & with the chemical toilet cassette cleaned & emptied. In the event of damage to our vehicle (internally or externally) the £1,000 or part of would go towards the repair. Should the repair be more than £1,000 towards our insurance excess. For any insurance claim or accidental damage (internally or externally) £1,000 is your maximum liability.

  • Can we hire a Motorhome at any time of the year?

Yes, we hire out all year round. All vehicles are equipped with either gas/electric or both heating which is thermostatically controlled from 05*C > 30*C. So even in the depths of winter or you can rest assured that you will keep toasty warm.

 

  • Is there a minimum hire period?
    Yes, there is a minimum of four nights hire. If you wish to have the motorhome for less time, you will still need to pay for the four nights hire.

     
  • Does the Motorhome have to be collected and returned at certain times?

Yes, the collection and return date and time will be agreed with you prior to the start of the hire period.

 

  • Is the Motorhome fitted with a television?

No, we don’t provide a TV. There is optional WiFi available at an additional cost which enables you to stream live and catch-up TV through Apps such as iPlayer, ITVX etc. on a tablet or laptop.

 

  • Do the Motorhomes have seat belts fitted?

The motorhome has four seated belts fitted. Despite having the option of a 5th berth dinette conversion, only 4 people can legally travel in the motorhome.

 

  • Do you allow smoking in your Motorhomes?

By law, and for the comfort of all our customers smoking is strictly not permitted inside the motorhome

  • How many drivers are permitted and are there any age restrictions?

One driver is allowed within the hire charge. Additional drivers can be added. All drivers must be over 25 and under 75 years of age. 

 

  • Can I leave my vehicle on your premises?

Yes, your vehicle can be left with us. This is entirely at the owner's risk, we do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage.

  • Would you be able to pick us up from an airport, ferry terminal or railway station?

Yes, we can arrange for you to be picked up from all major airports, subject to prior arrangement and an additional cost, please enquire. 

 

  • Do you provide kitchen and dining utensils?

Yes, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils are included. As is washing up liquid, dish cloth, tea towel, toilet chemical fluid & toilet roll and lots more.

 

  • Is bedding supplied with the Motorhome?

No, you will need to provide bedding, pillows and quilts, but we do provide the base sheets for the beds.

 

  • Are towels supplied with the Motorhome?

No, you will need to provide towels.

 

  • Do you offer a collection and delivery service?

Yes, subject to prior arrangement, charges may apply.

 

  • Are Dogs allowed? 

Yes, we allow for up to two pets by prior agreement without any additional charge. We reserve the right to charge extra if pet hair or odour requires extensive cleaning upon return. We would expect the hirer to cover any soft furnishings or keep pets off them.

 

 

Insurance FAQs

  • My driving license has expired and is in the process of being renewed
    Our insurers have pre-authorised the following to be suitable as per the Driver Referencing requirements:
    Valid DVLA licence check / Copy of passport / 2 Proofs of address

 

  • Are there any medical conditions for hiring?
    The insurers do not discriminate against medical conditions. So long as the DVLA/doctor/GP have not imposed any restrictions then you are covered as standard.

 

  • What do I need to take when travelling to a European country?
    Depending on the country you are visiting you may need some additional documents and equipment. Please refer to gov.uk/driving-abroad for further advice.

 

  • My driving licence contains out-of-date information
    We will need written confirmation from the DVLA confirming the adjustments have been made. This confirmation (usually supplied via email) alongside the client’s proof of
    address, existing licence and updated DVLA check code with suffice.

 

  • What if I have penalty points on my driving licence?
    Two 3 point offences Covered as standard
    Any conviction less than 6 points Covered as standard
    Singal 6 point offence (SP30, SP50 or CU80) Total £1000 excess will apply
    9 points on licence for three 3 point offences Additional £500 excess will apply
    Single 6 point offence (MS90, IN10) Requires referral
    Any ban or disqualification Requires referral
